Brief Biography:

LaTanga Blair recorded her oral history on February 13th, 2013 at the James J. Peters Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Bronx, NY.

Ms. Blair served in the Army during Sinai Peacetime and Desert Storm/Shield. Fulfilling her mother's dream of traveling, Ms. Blair left college early to enlist. What she didn't realize was that her eyes were shut to what war was really about. This interview shares a story of a woman soldier in a male dominated Army and how these experiences changed and ultimately strengthened her.
