Grand Concourse
The Grand Concourse branch's exterior.

The Grand Concourse Branch of The New York Public Library is located at 173rd Street between Morris and Selwyn Avenues, directly behind Bronx-Lebanon Hospital.

Opened on August 12, 1959, the branch is a two-story facility with adult, young adult, and children's collections. A multiuse room is available for community group meetings as well as library programs. All parts of the library, with the exception of the restrooms and the auditorium/community room, are wheelchair accessible. We offer collections of materials in English and Spanish, and year-round recreational and educational programs for all ages.

The Grand Concourse children's room was renovated thanks to the generosity of Marilyn and Jim Simons, CIT, and the New York Yankees Foundation.
