Over the years Bobbi Beck has drifted back and forth through various media, expressing herself with both tapestries and drawings. Switching between needles and pens, the one common factor existing in all her artworks are the complex messages that are intertwined and woven within each piece. Her subject matter spans the fantasy and reality of our daily life experiences that we all must feel at one time or another. These completely original artworks have been described by viewers as possessing hints of Dali, Escher, Beardsley, Mucha and even Gaudi. Her works have been exhibited over the years at many venues and have been included in private and public collections. So come visit this thought-provoking exhibition on the Upper West Side and take a visual journey to see if you can see any of yourself reflected in Bobbi Beck’s art.
