The Bloomingdale neighborhood has had an organized police presence for nearly 200 years, dating back to the days when this a largely rural part of Manhattan, with farms, shanties, and some estates along the Hudson River. As Bloomingdale evolve, so did its police presence. The panels on display present a concise history of policing in Bloomingdale, including the 150-year presence of a stationhouse here on 100th Street.
The panels have been prepared by the Bloomingdale Neighborhood History Group.
