Steve Galiczynski is an artist, curator, actor, and writer, as well as a long-time New Yorker. His painting, Modern Madonnas, which draws on mother-child imagery across cultures, was a top-ten finalist in the Metropolitan Museum’s 150th Anniversary Contest, and a variation of this painting was a winner in the Rockefeller Center Flag Project of 2020. He has had work featured on social media by the Frick Collection and Riverside Park, and exhibited in La Mama Galleria, Art NYC on the Ave at the Oculus, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, and more. He is represented by the Peg Alston Fine Arts Gallery, where his work was featured in their 2022 Holiday Greeting. Galiczynski’s artistic practice utilizes a unique blend of multimedia techniques to create art on a wide range of subjects.
