Summer Arts Institute Instrumental Music Students

Event Details

For the 13th year, the Library for the Performing Arts worked with the Department of Education's Summer Arts Institute on programs designed to introduce or facilitate the students to research in their field.  The series kicked off with the visit of 80 Middle and High School Instrumental Music students, with teacher and interns.  With the help of Dave McMullen  (Music Division), the Circulating Desk staff and the Museum interns, we showed the students how to locate solo and ensemble music for their reed, bass or percussion instruments in LPA, the on-line catalog and the Song Index.   They also viewed and listened to Music for Moderns and the RHA installation.
