Explore your artistic potential with Creative Aging, a series of art workshops for adults 50 and older.

This program will be held in person at Battery Park City LibraryJoin us for "Print + Process"!  Teaching Artist Fan Kong teaches 7 sessions of a printmaking workshop.

Description:  Printing can happen anywhere and with surprising materials! Combining old and new printmaking methods such as suminagashi (paper marbling with water and ink), thermal paper art (with receipts and printer), and stamp-making (with styrofoam), we will explore the process-oriented art of printmaking. Along the way, the instructor will guide participants in creating a zine as a final project. By the end of this class, you will come away with a renewed appreciation of the process of printmaking and a zine as a story map of your journey.

Session 2: Thermal paper art
Session 3: Styrofoam stamp-making
