Current Volunteer Opportunities:

SHELVING HELP VOLUNTEER - Belmont Library

Do you love to sort and organize? Do you love books and libraries? Please consider helping out 3 hours once each week at our busy Belmont Library. A volunteer position is available weekday mornings from 10am to 1pm. If you are inetersted in joing us please email volunteer@nypl.org

 

KNIT or CROCHET TUTOR - Tremont Library

Are you experienced at knitting or crocheting? Would you like to share your enthusiasm with others? Eastchester Library would love to have a volunteer-led program twice a month on Thursdays from 2pm to 3pm.  (Other times are possible.) Please email volunteer@nypl.org if you are interested in volunteering. Tell us why and include an example of your knitting skills. Thank you.

 

ADULT CRAFT VOLUNTEER - Morris Park

Are you experienced at crafts for adults? Would you like to share your enthusiasm with others? Morris Park Library would love to have a volunteer-led program once a week, twice a month or even once each month on Mondays or Tuesdays from 11am to12pm. Jewelry-making or other crafts for adults would be appropriate. Please email volunteer@nypl.org if you are interested in volunteering.

 

QUIET STUDY ROOM MONITOR - 67th Street Library

Do you enjoy reading? Are you an author or student and need a quiet space with WiFi to write that essay or novel? Why not volunteer at the same time in our Quiet Study room overlooking a charming garden at our 67th Street Library? This is a perfect task for college students and adult bookworms. You must be age 18 or older to apply.  Please send your resume as well as a letter stating why you believe libraries are important to 67LibraryEvents@nypl.org.
